I think investors should always put their cash to work, especially In 2025, we'll start to see more market diversification. I'm hoping to invest about $350k of my savings in stocks against next year. Hope to make millions in 2025

I’m 65, soon to be retired, solo, no children. I do not think i can afford $350/hr for a fee only advisor. Currently, I’m with Schwab’s intelligent portfolio but i need someone in my corner that i can rely on for investment guidance. Schwab’s intelligent portfolio only provides me with a retirement plan and works with me on budgeting but not investing.

Thank you for making this video!! This is super helpful advice. Just curious, but do you think “Vanguard personal advisers” may be a good option? I know some people recommend against advisers who are affiliated with a brokerage firm, but Vanguard is very reputable. Any thoughts on this?

Financial Advisor, Definition: people who have passed a test so they can legally charge you to sell you annuities that will make them money from their fees to tell you to buy the annuity and a commission back from the annuity to them when you do.

Don’t believe me? Make up a financial situation. Any financial situation. The financial advisor will recommend an annuity. Next, make up a completely different financial situation, totally different than the first. The financial advisor will again recommend an annuity. Repeat until you verify I’m correct.

You could tell them you are dying, will need the money next week to pay for your funeral and they will recommend you lock your money into an annuity.

Your financial satiation is irrelevant. They will only push you into what makes them the most money.

I did this. 4 of 4 recommended an annuity. Even after telling them early, often, and late during our introduction I do not want an annuity, ever, no matter what, they recommended an annuity. After 4 times, four interviews, I needed to stop. I feared if I did a 5th interview, they would again recommend an annuity and I’d punch the person in the nose.

Financial advisors are just dishonest annuity salespeople. Prove me wrong.

    I am so excited!!
I had to start over a few years ago after emotional, medical, BIG financial, just all types of life issues. But I didn't really have to start from the very bottom.
Through a dv divorce, bk, bc issues, repo, foreclosure, job furloughs, & just life in general, I didn't touch any of my 403 or retirement (my situation might have qualified for a catastrophic event withdrawal, but I cut it down to bare bones and just worked w what I had been left with).

Tomorrow I am meeting w a financial advisor after firing my last one who basically is in it for the check.
My grandfather always said, don't ever apologize for making somebody do their job.
This guy gave one hem & haw too many 😂

The new one I interviewed gave me more options in the 15 minutes it took us to set up the meeting than the other gave me in an actual 45 minute meeting!

I've got both my retirement/pension statements (my school system puts us into two), my Roth info, my soc sec info, and all my monthly & yearly bill statements, student loan info as well as a mutual fund account I set up when my dad passed away, my long/short term goals.
He also let me know his certs and ongoing training he's doing as well as his history.

This is through my employer and the fee is partially paid through my employer.

It may not seem like much to others, but they don't know me & it's nobody's business but mine, right?
When I pool everything together and add the potential income from my side hustle, I am feeling so empowered!

I basically had to begin again at 45. I'm at 53 and things are really panning out. I just want to say: it's NEVER too late! Start where you are and keep moving!!

    ~Great content!!

Thanks so much for this video. Many people have the wrong understanding of a financial advisor. I’ll admit, I did when I was younger. However, I got the opportunity to talk to a financial advisor at a luncheon one day and really understood the reason I needed one. I was 25 years old when I got one. I would advise others to really consider this if you are not strong with your finances. Thanks for sharing this information.

I have been asking myself this question for a while. I really want to learn more about investing and I'm currently reading your clever girl finance investing book. Pretty good information I am gathering from that. You really break it down anyway that I am able to understand. Love all of your videos.
