In the world of funds, where risks do play, the heart seeks balance, not just today. In this dance of numbers, be wise, yet slow, for the earth too grows at its steady flow. Investment’s spark may gleam like gold, but true wealth is in patience, quiet and bold. Just as the tree does not rush to rise, it thrives in calm, beneath open skies. Let not haste guide your hand, but let nature’s rhythm teach you to stand, for in slow growth, there is true gain, not in chasing fleeting, wild strain.

In India there is nothing called regulatory framework.
If you allow a lockin, the fund houses will misuse the money.
Only way to keep them straight on line is they having fear of sell or withdrawal
In simple Terms:-its An Hedge Fund With Some Boundaries
Won't it give all powers to MF manager to control the market (underlying script) ?
They can buy options and then start buying stocks in cash or vice versa.
Great breakdown.
If SIFs are mini AIFs then one needs to check the RISK ADJUSTED RETURNS" of the prevalent AIFs in the Indian Securities Market. @Neilborate – Please do the needful. Thanks in advance…
A good explanation
Thank you
well articulated, thnx
Love this investment type – crossbreed between MF and HF
Try use less jargons
20% limit for options and that too at absolute value of premiums seems too high. This would make the risk profile very high and reduce the consistency of returns.
Good in-depth information about SIF. Thank you Neil.
Thanks for the info!
