Your savings tracker has a 404 error
Such a wholesome moment.
Super fun and creative!
10:25 Something I do that helps is using amazon I remove my card after everything I buy from it, then if i think i want something I add it to my cart. Most of the time the act of having to put my card information in both gives me the dopamine hit and makes me realize i didnt want the thing
The only small glitch with the $100 now or $100 in a year is that $100 now is actually more than $100 in a year because inflation will naturally make the spending of that $100 less than it is presently, so even if you get that 10% interest and have the $110 after a year, you'll likely still only have at best an equal amount of buying power than you did a year ago.
This video is a bit out of touch for a broke person. 27 dollars a day is more than one can afford already doing all the budget stuff you said. I personally don't know anyone who has 100 dollars to go to the bar with their friends. Or buys coffee everyday. We are all poor lol we eat home cooked food, and never go out. 27 dollars a day is unrealistic in my area. Now maybe 2.70 dollars a day is more doable still stretching very thing but more doable Which would move that goalpost from 10k to 1k a year.
Not spending money on the things that my life doesn't depend on lets me save more money.
I tell my 35 year old son to love and take care of his old self. No one else will. He recently invested in a ROTH IRA.
4:00 ❤ Love that. Remembering the amount I will save that year makes me feel like I am not depriving or making myself suffer daily.
Saved my first 10k this year. This video Pretty much nailed it but here are my tips.
1- cancel subscriptions
2- quit social media.
3-order out once a week
4-don’t be ashamed of using local aid such a food drives.
5-only shop at thrift stores.
6-buy groceries and cleaning supplies in bulk.
7-stop any nicotine/caffeine and alcohol addiction.
The trick is, first get a better paying career
$27.40
The concept of 'getting rich fast' is often a misnomer. I believe it's more about consistent, disciplined effort over a long period. But, I appreciate the motivation in this video!"
I got in such a huge credit card debt due to traveling a lot in 2023. Instagram is a lie you guys, don’t believe the hype where influencers travel every month. LEARNED the long way. Now i’m slowly working in all my debts, had an awakening about a month ago and I managed to finish off 1 loan of 2,000. The right mindset and tools like these videos helped! 👍🏻
Step 1. Make more money than you need to survive.
There are a lot of things Simon Sinek says because of his economic privilege. If he had lived like me, and my brother and sisters did growing up, he would understand that his comments have no basis in fact. You can’t squeeze blood out of a turnip
Did he ever say
I started saving money by decreasing expenses. I stopped smoking. Saved money & got healthier @ the same time. That’s one way
omg i thought i was the only one struggling with manifesting 😩 i tried everything.. journaling, scripting, vision boards but nothing really shifted. then i heard about Manifest and Receive by Eva Hartley on a podcast and gave it a shot and it literally cracked me open. things are flowing in a way they never did before.😭😭 if you’ve been stuck, it might just flip everything for you too 💖
now do this same video for someone with kids and aging parents
If you aren’t poor this is a great idea. I make $70k annually and $27.39 a day is impossible to save up.
I'm on child support for 7 kids aint no way…
Why do everyone of these finance videos assume everyone makes 60k a year? I haven't even met someone who makes that much. It seems the average is based on two incomes or couples who have no kids and both work full time. Nearly everyone I know is single and make 30k or a little more.
6:24 RIP Payless 😔
I make 75k and saved 20k in less than a year. I use a money manager app and make accounts for buying things and eating out and control my spending to stay in the budget. I track EVERY spending I make and everything is super organised so I know exactly where my money went.
I woulda had an extra 25k in the bank over the last year if I’d had better control on ordering in and eating out
First step, having a reliable source of income. It seeems obvious but I struggled to understand this when I was first starting to thinn about financial literacy
I love your why
Bro I got a crazy off the wall idea if you make 67,000/yr and want to save 10k
Dont spend more than 57k in a year.
I know it sounds too good to be true. But SCIENCE backs it up!
LOL can barely pay rent. Must be nice to have money to allocate at all.
The most uncomfortable truth I had to face recently is if you are a low income earner and feel you cant save at all, you simply dont want it bad enough. You are 100% able to get housing with roomates, live with family, etc. You are capable of being on a low cost diet for a few months. No one is preventing you from seeking higher paying opportunity. You fear failure, you fear judgment, and you fear accountability more than you want it. I went from making ~$800/mth to my first ~$9k month in just 3 years and now have over $10k saved. But it came at the cost of my ego, and all the limiting self belief that I had. If i could do it, i truly believe just about anyone can.
I made 6k this month. I should be able to do this.
Super helpful stuff — thanks for sharing!
