I have Roth's in Charles Schwab and Fidelity. Schwab is best for beginners. It's the easiest to navigate. Fidelity is also great but a bit more busy and harder to navigate. Both have excellent customer service. Fidelity does crypto and also automatically moves unused funds to a money market fund.
Do you think bank failure and a brokerage failure are the same thing? Money in a bank belongs to the bank, so when they go under, without FDIC insurance, you get nothing. Stocks you buy with a brokerage are YOURS. If they go under, your investments get transferred to another brokerage. I don't understand the need to mislead people when I'm sure you know this.

I'm 59 and have been a long time Vanguard owner but it seems since it's father, Mr Jack Bogle passed away in 2019, they have been coming up with these little annoying fees like a $25 annual maintenance which is waivable if you have five million and/or chose e-delivery on documents with the second being easy for all so no big deal but then in mid 2024 they implemented a $100 fee for closing a brokerage account. Yes they are the pioneer in low fund fees but I have to admit as small as these fees are, I'm getting a bit irritated so I'm now leaning a bit more to Fidelity brokerage which I've also owned for the past three years and tend to like a bit more and no annoying fee for closing a brokerage account.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

I have 300k in money market funds with Fidelity and scared to invest in anything, stocks and gold are volatile alike and bonds are a no go area for me? What is the best course of action?

Hi professor! i have Charles for my Roth IRA and im looking to open a normal brokerage account. Is it wise to open it with another Brokerage like Fidelity/Vanguard? incase charles schwab website crashes for the day? or should i stick to charles schwab? also, is it wise to buy VOO for $500ish/share right now or stick to a more affordable SWPPX with Charles for less than $100/share? They're all scam based. Eventually, robinhood does the old "password reset" scam because you how dare you upgrade your mobile device. Moomoo also, big time swindlers. At this point I don't trust you or anyone of them.😂

I use fidelity except for my tesla and bitcoin i keep them in my cash app.

One issue with Wealthfront is you cannot DRIP stocks , or move securities between accounts – you have to sell and re-purchase. It does have 5% int on cash though.

What in the world is "socially responsible" investing? And who gets to make the determination of what is and isn't a socially responsible investment? I own Occidental Petroleum warrants, and they are up 980% since I bought them in 2020. To me, that's socially responsible.
